We are beginning the last stage, the exterior stucco and paint, of the special building in the Pueblo of Jemez in NM.
One side of the house is for teaching and making Piki bread, a waver thin roll requiring a special stone handed down from past generations. The other side will be to teach traditional pottery making. Traditional and contemporary village people are very happy and can't wait until it is finished.
We have provided the finances, and the village has provided the labor. This has definitely been a joint partnership!
